Sick as a Pterodactyl....

Well ninja, rockstar blog followers. I'm sick. Yep.... slept 11 hours last night, and it still wasn't enough. Also went on a field trip today to Fred Fenster's studio. For those of you who aren't Barbara, Fred Fenster is a metalsmithing legend who works with Pewter. He lives in the Madison area and the field trip was a part of my Makers: History of American Studio Craft seminar. It was really interesting and Fred's studio is amazing. He also laid out a bunch of lovely snacks for our group of 30, which I thought was really nice of him. It exhausted my sickly body though, and when I got home, I managed to do about 2 hours of work before I passed out. After my nap though I was pretty productive.

I've been working in the studio a bit, mostly on Fridays and Saturdays. Those seem to be my "free" days. I'm just working on a silly light right now, just to get moving while I figure out what I want to make this semester.

I'll post pictures of it further along. It doesn't actually look like anything here... sorry. Just thought I'd post something.
